To get the most from your professional teeth whitening trays, it’s important to know how to use them correctly!
Here is a quick and easy guide to get a bright white smile with Opalescence PF 15% teeth whitening gel trays.
PRO TIP: Keep gel refrigerated to extend shelf life.
Instructions:
- Brush first to remove any debris on your teeth.
- Dispense small dot of gel on each tooth on the inside of the tray where the front surface of your teeth comes in contact. See pictures below for specifics.
Note: You do not need to put gel on every tooth on the tray. If you would like to save gel, you can put it just on the teeth that show when you smile. - Place tray in mouth and wipe off any excess gel on your gums with a tissue.
- Wear time is 4-6 hours. If you have significant sensitivity, take out the trays and wear them for less time for the following days. If significant sensitivity continues, stop whitening and call the office.
- Brush excess gel off your teeth and rinse with water.
- Clean your tray of excess gel with a brush and water.
- If you would like reduce possible tooth sensitivity, dispense dots of Sensodyne toothpaste in your trays and wear for 5 minutes. Clean out after use with brush and water.
- Repeat this process daily for up to 14 days maximum or less if desired whitening is achieved before then.
